reset settings.. only resets all the settings to factory .. i.e. wifi, network, accounts, etc… This will not remove your apps and music etc… however erase all content and settings DOES.

Actually if you are trying to reset your phone to just the original apps then you want to select the option just below the one he talked about and it literally erases all of the content on your phone.
